Cleanest hospital rooms in Kansas are at Coffey County Hospital
Coffey County Hospital is recognized among the “59 Hospitals with the Cleanest Patient Rooms” by Becker’s Hospital Review.
“We are very proud of this recognition, but there is something about it that means even more than national recognition,” said Chief Executive Officer Leonard Hernandez. “This award truly comes from our patients—and they matter more than anything else.”
Each year Becker’s honors hospitals that fall in the top 90th percentile based upon standardized patient satisfaction scores. 90 percent of Coffey County Hospital patients reported on their satisfaction survey that their room and bathroom were always clean.
“This is a difficult score to hit,” said Chief Executive Officer Leonard Hernandez. “It requires vigilance and tremendous attention to detail. We celebrate this recognition of the hard work put in by Kenneth Davis, Darwin Doerr, Marilyn Fry, Dale Hall, Katie Metzger, Mina Miller, Leland Roach, Anna Steinert, and James Turner.”
Just two other Kansas hospitals – Ellsworth County Medical Center and Neosho County Regional Medical Center – made the list, both at 89 percent. The national average for room cleanliness is 74 percent.
Becker's is the leading source of business and legal information for healthcare industry. The figures represent Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems scores collected from April 2015 through March 2016, the most recent data available.
