Coffey County Hospital Laboratory

Heidi FerraraThe laboratory at Coffey County Hospital provides a full array of services with excellent equipment and a highly-trained staff. The lab is inspected by the State of Kansas every two years and is in compliance with federal regulations.

A staff of seven serves Coffey County Hospital from 6:30 a.m. to midnight Monday through Friday, and is on-call weekends and holidays. Outpatient tests are scheduled weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. A technologist is available at all times for emergencies.

Lab tests may only be performed with a written order from a physician. Many tests are performed internally, but some tests must be sent to a reference lab in Kansas City.

"We are proud to be an integral part of Coffey Health System, and to provide the best medical care for our community," says Pam Ecton, laboratory supervisor.

The lab completed 24,004 tests for hospital and clinic patients last year.
