Each year, Coffey Health System offers blood tests for the community at drastically reduced rates. The cost of the tests—$40 for the comprehensive screen and $20 for the optional prostate screen—must be paid at the time of the blood draw and is not billed to insurance. These tests would normally total more than $400.
Test results are sent by mail directly to the participant. CHS strongly encourages participants to share the results with their primary care provider.
Tests included in the comprehensive panel can detect many disease processes, such as diabetes, anemia, hyper/hypothyroid, and diseases of the liver and kidney. Additionally, abnormally-elevated cholesterol and triglyceride values can indicate a higher risk of coronary artery disease, heart attack, and stroke.
Blood tests at the clinics are on a walk-in basis. Please be fasting 12 hours (no food or liquid other than water) at the time of your blood draw.
