A Patient & Family Advisory Council (PFAC) partners patients and families with members of the healthcare team to provide guidance on how to improve the patient and family experience.
Patients and their families are often the most knowledgeable member of the care team and can offer a unique perspective and valuable feedback regarding care they receive. The CHS advisors provide insight across a variety of medical services and disciplines.
Our mission is “Past and present patients, family members and CHS staff working together to improve the patient and family experience at Coffey Health System.” The council supports CHS through four primary initiatives:
Participants serve a one-year commitment, which involves a training session and two to four meetings.
